Drop in to set, sharp movement into space to touch and finish


Description

In this session we are focusing in on dropping in to set and sharp movement into space to touch into space and finish. The drill begins with the player moving off the cone/pole to receive the ball, touch across the body and pass into the coach. The player then drops in to receive and set back, before moving across to receive again and then touching the ball past the defender to finish. The mannequin is used to replicate the defender, a pole or cones can be used as an alternative. The player should look to take the touch quickly to accelerate into the space. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
