Body shape to receive to finish first time and open out across

Description

In this session we are focusing on our body shape to finish first time open out across to finish. The drill begins with the player moving outside of the mannequin/pole/cone to receive and set back to the coach. The player then looks to move infront and around to the opposite side, where they then receive the ball back to take across the body and finish. The player should look to receive on the back foot and push the touch into space. Once the player has taken the shot, they looked to move around the cone on their left, and back towards the goal for the red player to pass the ball in for a first time finish. The players body shape when receiving to open out should be on an angle so they are aware of the space and so the touch can be taken first time into space. When moving to finish first time, the player should position themselves to be able to see where the ball is coming from at all times. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side per player.
