Dropping the shoulder to touch into space and finish
Description
In this session we are focusing on dropping the shoulder to touch in behind and finish. The drill begins with the player moving through the cones/poles to receive the ball. The side they move through is the side we’re they receive the ball. The player looks to touch the ball in behind by delicately using the outside of the foot to then finish. Using the outside of the foot enables the player to finish with the preferred foot, and protects the ball from the opposition. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times per player.
