Creating angle to receive on back foot to touch and finish
Description
In this session we are focusing on receiving the ball on the back foot to touch into space and finish. The drill begins with the player moving through the agility ladder, before moving towards one of the poles/cones. As the player reaches the pole, they look to emphasise their movement to set the ball to the coach, and create an angle on the opposite side of the pole to then receive on the back foot to touch the ball into space and finish. The players body angle is vital to ensure that the touch can be taken towards the goal. They have to ensure they open the body and not just face were the ball is coming from. Each set should consist of 4 - 8 reps and should be completed at least three times.
