Opening out to finish & reacting to move to attack the cross

Description

In this session are focusing on opening out to finish, and then reacting to move and attack the cross. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player on the right hand side of the cone/pole. The player passes back first time before moving to the left side to repeat. After the player has set back for the second time, they look to move to the cone behind them to receive, open out and finish. Once the player has shot, they look to move to the middle cone, before spinning out and around the cone to the right. As they player moves around the cone, the wide player looks to get into a crossing position, and deliver into a space for the attacker to move onto and finish. The touch out of the body to enable the finish should be pushed ahead into space. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times per player.
