Cut backs across the body
Description
In this session we are focusing on how are player adjusts their body shape to finish. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player on the outside of the pole/cone, who plays back first time across, before repeating on the inside. The player then moves out and around the deeper pole, with the coach playing the ball into space for the player to move onto the ball and finish. The drill can be completed from both the left and right hand side, so the player is focusing on using both feet. The player is looking to adjust their body to enable themselves to strike cleanly through the ball. Their body shape should open to ensure they can strike the ball in either corner of the goal. Each set should consist of a minimum of five reps and should be completed at least three times each side.
