Movement into the Box

Description

In this session we are focusing on our players movement to evade defenders and finish from deliveries into the box. The drill starts with the player moving through the central poles/cones, with the coach commanding two cones the player should move too (can be the same colour, but numbered). After the player has created space to attack, the coach then moves the ball into an area and crosses into the box for the player to finish. This can be in the air, on the floor, or bouncing, enabling a variety of finishes. The player should aim to time their run so that they are always behind the ball before the coach strikes the ball, before moving at speed to attack.
