Protect the ball and turning away to finish
Description
In this session we are focusing on our ability to protect the ball and turning away to finish. The drill begins with the coach passing the ball to the player who looks to let the ball come across the body to control and then turn away whilst using the body to get a distance from themselves and the defender to finish. The player then moves around the wide cone to move onto the ball and finish using the pace on the ball to finish. The player then moves back centrally to get across the defender (cone) the receive and take across the body and finish. The player needs to get an angle on the first touch to set up the finish. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least two times per side.
