First touch to take the ball away from the defender
Description
In this session we are focusing on our first touch to take the ball away from the defender. The drill begins with the player dropping in to receive and set back to the coach before moving to the outside to receive on the half turn to touch into space and finish. The player then moves in centrally to receive on the back foot to push into space and finish. The players body shape is important as it allows them to take the ball into space in one touch. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least three times.
