Touch, shift and finish: Shift the ball away from the body to strike
Description
In this session we are focusing on a touch, shift and finish: Shift the ball away from the body to strike. The drill begins with the player peeling off the pole/mannequin to receive on the left foot (when ball is played from the right). The player then looks to drop the shoulder to shift the ball onto their right foot and past the pole/mannequin to finish. The player should stay low and look to whip the ball. Once the player has finished they look to drop back to the pole/mannequin to receive and open out onto their left foot to finish. Each set should consist of 4 - 6 reps and should be completed at least two times each side.
