Touch away to finish & adapting quickly to attack cross

Description

In this session we are focusing on touching away to finish & adapting quickly to attack cross. The drill begins with the coach passing to the player who sets back and repeats until the coach shouts ‘go’. The player then moves to one of the two cones where the coach then passes the ball for the player to take a touch into space to finish replicating taking the ball away from a defender. The player then adapts quickly to be able to attack the cross from player 2. The player should look to take the touch away with the back foot. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least two times per side per player.
