React to loose ball to finish, protect and turn away to finish
Description
In this session we are focusing on reacting to loose ball to finish, protect and turn away to finish. The drill begins with the player facing away from the coach. When the player shouts ‘turn’ the player turns and then reacts to the ball thrown either side by the coach to finish. The player then retrieves the ball with the coach applying pressure. The player looks to protect the ball and turn to create space to finish. The player should use their body to protect the ball and use the arm to get a distance between themselves and the coach. Each set should consist of 2 - 4 reps and should be completed at least three times.
